With our affiliation with the Gold Coast Titans our pathway systems provide opportunity for extensive player development and progression to elite competitions in NSWRL, QRL, NRLW, and NRL

Pathways Competitions

Tweed Seagulls is proud to provide opportunities for local juniors to represent our club in the following QLD junior representative competitions. Nurturing and developing talent from our catchment clubs with focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for young players to learn and grow in Rugby League. With a key focus on creating winners through player and personal development.

Cyril Connell Cup U17s

The Cyril Connell Cup is an important competition within QRL, specifically designed for Under 17 players that serves as a stepping stone to higher competition. It serves as a pathway for talented 16 – 17-year-old rugby league players in our catchment to represent Tweed Seagulls providing the opportunity to develop & showcase their abilities and progression in a competitive environment.

Harvey Norman U17s

The Harvey Normans U17s competition provides a platform for talented female rugby league players aged 16-17. It serves as a developmental pathway for young players aspiring to progress in the sport and potentially play at higher levels. Tweed Seagulls focus on this program is talent development and fostering the growth of our female players.

Mal Meninga Cup U19s

The Mal Meninga Cup is the elite Under 19s competition in QLD giving players the opportunity to further their Rugby League development. Tweed Seagulls provides local players from the greater Gold Coast and Northern Rivers areas the chance to further their development in this competition.

Harvey Normans U19s

The Harvey Normans U19s is the elite Under 19s competition in QLD for female players. It provides further development opportunities for talented & aspirational players. Tweed Seagulls U19s provides a genuine pathway for female players on the Gold Coast and the Northern Rivers.

Northern Rivers Titans Andrew Johns, Laurie Daley, Lisa Fioala Cups

The Andrew Johns Cup is the elite regional representative competition in NSW for Under-16s male players.

The Laurie Daley Cup is the elite regional representative competition in NSW for 17- & 18-year-old male players.

The Lisa Fiaola Cup is a NSWRL competition specifically designed for female players who are 16 or 17 years old.

Tweed Seagulls recognise and support the Northern Rivers Titans Programs and provide male and female players from the Northern Rivers a pathway to our Mal Meninga & Harvey Norman 19s teams.

RISE Academy

The Tweed Seagulls support both the QLD and NSW RISE programs conducted on the Gold Coast and in the Northern Rivers. The RISE academy provides aspirational Junior Rugby League players and coaches the opportunity to learn and develop through this holistic Rugby League Program that provides specialised training and education for both the player and the coach. Coach Education

Tweed Seagulls strives to educate and provide opportunities for coaches in our catchment and further abroad. Our Coach Academy Program is a key focus for our development and pathways. We believe that coach development is also player development.
