Joe O’Callaghan appointed Tweed Seagulls Hostplus Cup Head Coach

Tweed Seagulls RLFC are proud to announce the appointment of Joe O’Callaghan as Hostplus Cup Head Coach on a two-year deal.
O’Callaghan joins the Seagulls with extensive experience across elite rugby league programs, most recently with the South Sydney Rabbitohs where he served as NRL Assistant Coach, NSW Cup Head Coach, NRL Development Coach, and Jersey Flegg Head Coach.
Previously, O’Callaghan guided the Northern Pride as Head Coach from 2015–2016, following a highly successful stint in 2014 as Assistant that saw the Pride crowned QLD Cup Premiers and NRL State Champions. His achievements also include leading the Rabbitohs to the 2023 NSW Cup Premiership and NRL State Championship title.

From the first time we met Joe, his enthusiasm for coaching, his knowledge of our club, and his passion for bringing people together really shone through. We look forward to supporting him intertwine his philosophies for rugby league into our club.
Work has already begun with Joe to ensure a smooth transition into the head coach role for when he arrives from Sydney in mid-late October.
